<ul>
<li>2 cups brown long grain rice</li>
<li>1 lb. flank steak</li>
<li>2 lb. boneless chicken breast</li>
<li>2 shallots</li>
<li>1 bunch scallions</li>
<li>¼ lb snow peas</li>
<li>1 bunch cilantro</li>
<li>1 package of shitake mushrooms</li>
<li>1-2 cups mung bean sprouts</li>
<li>1 clove of garlic</li>
<li>5 eggs</li>
<li>2  tablespoons olive oil</li>
<li>2  tablespoons sesame oil</li>
<li>1/2 cup soy sauce</li>
<li>1 cupsesame seed teriyaki sauce</li>
<li>2 tablespoons red bean paste</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>directions</strong></p>
<p>chop the chicken breast and flank steak into thin strips.  combine 1 cup sesame seed teriyaki sauce, 1/2 cup soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons red bean paste, to marinate the strips in for 1 hour &#8211; overnight.</p>
<p>mince the garlic and dice up the shallots.  chop the scallions into 1/4 inch chunks.  in a wok over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and sesame oil followed by the garlic, shallots, and scallions.  when shallots become translucent add 1-2 cups of mung bean sprouts.  cover and let simmer for several minutes before adding 5 beaten eggs.</p>
<p>remove mixture from wok and set aside.  add the marinated chicken breast and flank steak to the still hot wok and cover, allowing to simmer for 10-12 minutes.  when meat is thoroughly cooked, combine the chicken, steak, shallots, garlic and scallions back into the wok.  fold in the 2 cups of steamed brown long grain rice.  garnish with chopped cilantro.</p>

<p><strong>directions</strong></p>
<p>in a glass pitcher, combine the sake, orange juice, brandy, and sugar. stir until sugar is dissolved. add the chunked fruit and refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours (lindsey and cyril couldn&#8217;t wait that long).</p>
<p>to serve, fill large wineglasses with ice, and pour in sangria until 3/4 full.  spoon some fruit from the bottom of the pitcher and then splash with soda water to finish.</p>

<li>5 cloves garlic, minced</li>
<li>5 chili peppers, diced</li>
<li>2 tablespoons soy sauce</li>
<li>1 tablespoon lime juice</li>
<li>3 tablespoons honey</li>
<li>1/4 cup peanut oil</li>
<li>4 8 oz. flank steaks</li>
<li>salt and pepper</li>
<li>1 shallot, diced</li>
<li>1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint</li>
<li>1/2 cup rice      wine vinegar</li>
<li>2 tablespoons fish sauce</li>
<li>3 teaspoons sugar</li>
<li>1 large romaine lettuce head</li>
<li>1 large green papaya, peeled      and sliced</li>
<li>2 carrots, peeled and sliced</li>
<li>1/4 cup of roasted peanuts</li>
<li>chopped cilantro to garnish</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>directions</strong></p>
<p>in a food processor combine the garlic, 2 chilies, soy sauce, limejuice, honey, and peanut oil. marinate the flank steaks with this mixture for four hours or overnight.</p>
<p>grill the flank steaks on medium high heat until medium rare. in a small bowl, combine the shallot, remaining 3 chilies, mint, vinegar, fish sauce, and sugar. whisk well and set aside. place the chopped lettuce leaves on a serving platter and add on the diced papaya and carrots. now that the flanks steaks have cooled slightly, slice thinly and arrange on top of the lettuce.  pour the dressing on top and garnish with peanuts and cilantro.</p>
